What do you think of this idea for a cleanser?

She Looks Like a Classic Cold Cream, But Don’t Be Fooled—She’s Built Different.

Happy Monday! I want to take you behind the scenes a little… but first, let’s rewind for a sec.

Do you remember cold creams?

Those iconic glass jars sitting pretty on your mom’s vanity. Think Pond’s. Noxzema.

The scent? Instant flashback.
It was skincare royalty in its time—heavy, cold, creamy.
The promise? Melt off the day and reveal baby-soft skin.

And like a lot of us, I tried them when I was younger.
Lured in by the glamour and the idea that I could wipe my face clean like a vintage movie star in kitten heels. Or at least Rebecca Gayheart.

From Reddit

But here’s the truth:
Cold creams of today are not really made for sensitive skin. Not really.
And definitely not for skin that deals with redness, dryness, or rosacea.

If you’ve ever had your skin burn, break out, or go full-blown rash after trying one, you know exactly what I mean.

So I did what I always do when I’m fed up with the skincare status quo:

I made one for us. I love the idea but what do you think?

Here’s how it went down:

I Zoom’d my chemist in Japan and said:

“Let’s reinvent cold cream—but make it for people like me. People who can’t just slap on anything and ‘hope for the best.’”

She blinked and said, “Cold cream? Like… something you store in the fridge?”
(Okay, fair.) 🤣 So cute, right?

I explained the nostalgia. The texture. The experience.
But with one major difference: this version needs to be calming, dual-functional, and rinse clean with zero greasy film. It needed to be a traditional cleanser you could use wet or dry.

It needs to treat sensitive, aging, rosacea-prone skin like the royalty it is.

And guess what? She crushed it.

The very first prototype, the texture was a slam dunk. Creamy, dreamy, no irritation, no greasy leftovers. We tweaked ingredients a few more times and now it’s absolutely perfect.

It’s cold cream—but modern.
It’s comforting—not comedogenic.
It’s self-care that doesn’t sabotage your skin.
Fragrance-Free
Oh so gentle.

Now the formula is locked.
We’re just choosing designing the packaging.

And that’s where you come in.

Should we go with:
💛 A gold cap—vintage glam vibes
🤍 Or a white cap—clean, minimalist, modern

Mock Up (not the final design but similar)

You’re the reason I made this. So help me dress her right.

What are your thoughts on this idea? Love it or leave it?
